A Few Ramblings About “Artistic Pornography”. 0

Hello, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything here.

This was meant to be a response to this.

It can be art, but it depends on how it’s done.

The common connotation for pornography consists of distastefully taken photographs of nudes taken for the sake of sexual pleasures of the viewer, and not for the sake of making art. In many websites, they are taken simply for making profit out of customers who wish to be pleasured by seeing such images.

Of course, I have nothing against artistic nudes, they are something I have been exposed to even when I was a bit younger (thanks to all those art books with artistic nudes and nude paintings in them), but pornography created simply to make profit or simply to boost someone’s libido isn’t what you can call ‘art’ right away, per se.

About art drawing emotion of any kind of the viewer, almost anything can draw emotion of any kind from a viewer. Though it may not be powerful enough to surface on the conscious level, anyone can be primed with anything. (I am performing a study in this, and I have proven this with photographs and objects depicting or associated with certain emotions.)

Just my two cents, I’m sorry if I had to load you with this.

I’ll let you all in a little secret… 0

Seriously, what the hell am I drawing recently?

…Well, it’s no longer a secret. *teehee*

Also, this was from when I wasn’t chat grounded and when my laptop didn’t get virused yet. :)

SoundTrip. 0

Yesterday, I was able to spend my entire birthday with my family. In addition to eating outside and all, I got a trip to the record bar. :D

While I was still shy to ask from my father, I really wanted to buy a couple of CDs (I was searching for ANY ALBUM of Das Pop, but just as I expected, I didn’t find any. :( )

He ended up buying me two pairs of headphones for my iPod (my old ones broke) as well as two CDs. I found a few other CDs I bought with my savings/earnings in the past year and got surprised that I had thirteen.

Some of the CDs I've bought.

Guess which one I got yesterday. :3

And yes, I do have that much of an odd taste in music. =p

I liked the way they looked when stacked up in one pile:

Pretty, huh?

Haha, the Super Junior album looks a bit too big for the pile.

Anywho, I guess I have to stop spamming about my birfday fun. That reminds me, I have to update my deviantART journal. xD;;

Long Time No Update! + YAYNESS 2

While I don’t have my personal domain yet, I’ll try to keep this active. =)

Also, it’s my birfday! Happy birfday to meeee!

My love story with food photography 0

Ever since my parents bought me a cellphone with a built-in VGA camera, I’ve been taking photos of food I eat in restaurants, in the houses of friends, as well as food I rarely ever get to eat at home. I had to bear with the colors of the food looking dull in the photo in a small resolution of 320 x 240. Indeed, the subjects often didn’t appear with crisp detail, but the noise in the image sure did!

I’d take five minutes or longer taking a picture of a bowl filled with scoops of ice cream, and my parents would tell me to stop taking pictures because the ice cream has already melted. I thought this was food photography. I only discovered that most subjects were in fact “fake food”. I forgot about the fact that ice cream would completely melt, and perhaps evaporate when exposed to bright and warm lighting for more than ten minutes! It also saddened me to learn that I can’t eat the subject after taking a picture of it.

This is my closest experience to “food photography”, as I helped a bit with arranging the subject on the plate. I did take a few shots of the subject at the best position I could think of at the time, and I tried to cherish it, because it would be the last time I could even see such an arrangement of seafood pasta. When the time came for the subject to be dumped and scrapped like waste, I volunteered to throw the whole thing, without thinking. I felt bad and really guilty about throwing the pasta and all the “toppings” in one of those colored bins, but later, I felt that at least we were still able to take shots of it. Either way, we can’t eat it anyway.

The lineart was done by *Kerinaty of deviantART.

Haven’t really made progress with the coloring; I somehow forgot how to color nicely in Photoshop. D:

Coloring WIP including golden stuff

A little more progress on the same thing. :p

Done coloring Kiku! (Japan-tan.)

Done coloring Nihon-tan! Now I’ll have to move on to coloring Chuugoku-tan!

So…I finally got to open this blog again. 0

I know, I’m too fickle about which of my blogs to use.

You all probably know that I’m most active in deviantART, Tumblr, and Blogger though. :)

But since I found my way back into this blog, I’m going to use it again. (Especially because sign-ups for a Troupe of Fate blog are closed. :P)

Just realized that I haven’t used this in almost two years, I blame myself for using such a HARD password for this. D:

Expect content here soon.

(EDIT: Ported my Blogger posts to this blog. Just in case I decide to move again.)

Flagellic Motion. 0

I was supposed to sleep for an hour after I drank pain relievers.

I lay on the bed for a few moments, then I sensed something within my sight fall from the ceiling, although I wasn’t able to get a clear picture of what it was. So I just continued to lie down, listening to my favorite Michael Jackson songs.

Later, as I was starting to feel uneasy about whatever fell into the bed, I lifted one of the pillows I leaned my head on, and saw a few bits of wood, dirt, and a long and thin black worm-like entity.

At this time, I screamed and quickly covered it with a pillow.

I was afraid of worms, and I asked my mom to accompany me.

But I had to face my fear.

I lifted the pillow, and saw that the worm was wiggling so quickly, in a fashion reminiscent of the flagella that some bacteria and protists use to propel themselves for movement. I poured whatever salt was left in our salt shaker, but the worm escaped my trap so quickly.

I asked my mom for help, and we decided to change the pillowcases. I found the worm again, now curled up, and poured more salt over it.

It then crawled away; I couldn’t find it after.

Just to make sure, I poured salt over the sides of the bed.

I’m hoping to sleep peacefully, and not in a flagellic motion.

This is for ~LigerfromAzkaban of deviantART, who is one of my best friends in grade school.

Doing this for my half of an art trade with Momiji and Chiharu Matsuda for her half of the art trade! It just looks so cute!

Morphine is fun to draw, but I scrapped my first draft and I’m starting a new one. Heck, I’ll have to improve on the lines…A LOT, but anyway, here’s what I have so far.

Finished Product.

I Will Start The Revolution

LATE POST. OTL.

Original can be found here .

This is Morphine, Jackie ’s Teen Titans OC. I wanted to make her look scheming and sly, but I ended up making her "cute", but well, that’s according to Jackie.

I think I did pretty well drawing this. :D I’m quite iffy on the coloring though. D:
